Follow water use and field condition through time
Work with evapotranspiration, soil-water state, irrigation, vegetation, maps, time series, and selected locations within one project.
BAITSSSBAITSSS Desktop V1 is the first release version of a desktop scientific system for field-scale evapotranspiration, soil water, irrigation analysis, and field investigation.
The current water challenge
Across parts of the United States, especially the central and Southwestern regions, water demand can approach or exceed locally available supply, with irrigation playing an important role in many water-limited areas. Groundwater remains essential to agriculture, while long-term declines in major aquifers show why better information and better management matter.
This is not a story in which everything has already gone wrong. Farmers, water managers, researchers, agencies, communities, and technology developers can still improve how water is measured, understood, allocated, and used. The practical work is to reduce avoidable losses, protect productive agriculture, understand field response, and make decisions from evidence rather than assumption.
What you get
BAITSSS brings the scientific workflow into one desktop product so the user can work with the field, run the analysis, inspect the results, and keep the record without first building the underlying scientific software.
Work with evapotranspiration, soil-water state, irrigation, vegetation, maps, time series, and selected locations within one project.
BAITSSS Desktop V1 packages the working scientific runtime with the application and keeps projects, runs, and outputs on the user's own computer.
Review mapped Results, time series, exports, and repeated runs for your own analysis, research, teaching, or technical discussion.
