Scientific history and current development.
BAITSSS has developed through work in evapotranspiration, irrigation, remote sensing, soil-water balance, field measurement, and scientific computing.
Research and development history
The scientific development began with work at the University of Idaho, continued through research at Kansas State University, and was subsequently extended through work involving the USDA Agricultural Research Service and Desert Research Institute.
The current desktop software development builds on this research history and focuses on implementation, testing, distribution, documentation, and scientific use.
Scientific model and desktop software
Current development connects the scientific model with the data preparation, project configuration, simulation, validation, results, and export workflows required for desktop use.
